Reba has moved to Roswell, GA after having traveled for eight years. She was the music coordinator of two teams called the Pettit and Galkin Evangelistic Teams. The teams were comprised of 10-15 people that played sacred and folk/Irish music. She traveled across the country from August thru May, playing the piano almost every night for church services and concerts. Her responsibilities involved leading music rehearsals, writing and arranging music, and coordinating both vocal and instrumental recordings.
During this time, she also was involved with helping arrange four different instrumental books including her piano solo book Awake My Soul. Reba has written and arranged for both voice and instruments including strings, mandolin, dulcimer, penny whistle, flute, accordion and piano.
Her classical piano instruction began at the age of 4. She took lessons from several MTNA piano teachers in the Northern Indiana area until the age of 18. During that time, she competed in numerous piano competitions winning multiple times in the Stickley Piano Competition, the South Bend Chopin Youth Piano Competition, La Porte Symphony Orchestra’s Florence Andrew Young Competition and the South Bend IMTA Competition. She also participated in the National Piano Guild for ten years.
Reba graduated from Bob Jones University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music with a principal of piano. While at Bob Jones, Reba accompanied for senior and graduate voice recitals as well as two university choirs. Reba enjoys teaching classical and sacred music.
Since living in Roswell, Reba has been enjoying teaching full-time in her piano studio. She also serves part-time staff at Lebanon Baptist Church where she assists in planning services. Reba also has enjoyed writing and arranging music for The Wilds Christian Camp in Brevard, NC. Several of her choral arrangements can be found on their website as well as jwpepper.com.
